Mozambique seizes haul of frozen octopus

By Jose Tembe

Mozambique has seized almost 20 tonnes of stolen frozen octopuses.

The container was seized at the fishing port of Angoche in the northern province of Nampula.

It is valued at more than 70,000 euros (about $76,000, £63,000).

According to the Carta de Mocambique paper, the seafood belonged to the company Mariscos do Indico and was being smuggled out the country for export using forged documents.

Seafood is an import export for Mozambique.
