New Schedule for Ballot Paper Delivery

The Electoral Commission of Zambia –ECZ- has revised the schedule for the arrival of ballot papers for the August 13 General Election, citing further adjustments to flight arrangements.

In a public notice issued today, ECZ Chief Electoral Officer BROWN KASARO said the first two consignments, which were initially expected to arrive in Lusaka on Tuesday, July 28, will now arrive on revised dates yet to be announced.

Mr. KASARO said despite the changes to the flight schedule, all ballot papers are expected to be delivered to Zambia before the end of the week.

He said the Commission will issue another update on Tuesday, July 28, providing stakeholders and the public with the revised flight schedule, including the dates and times of arrival.

Mr. KASARO thanked stakeholders for their continued cooperation and participation in monitoring the final stages of ballot paper packaging and transportation.

He said stakeholders have continued to work closely with election officials in overseeing the final processes before the ballot papers are transported to Zambia.
