Zambian music star releases Covid-19 song
Popular Zambian dancehall artist B Flow has released a new song about the coronavirus, entitled Tuleisakamana which means ‘Let’s Take Care of Ourselves’.
The pop star, whose real name is Brian Bwembya, joins other local musicians including Maureen Lilanda, Pontiano Kaiche and Wezi Mhone who have also released tracks educating people about the pandemic.
The song features British High Commissioner to Zambia Nicholas Woolley.
Ugandan reggae icon and political activist Bobi Wine has also appeared on two tracks to raise awareness of the virus. The latest, ‘Alone Altogether’, has over 17,000 views.
Zambia has so far confirmed 39 cases of Covid-19, however there have been no new cases in the past six days. 31 patients are still receiving treatment and one has died.
