Angola’s Josefa Sacko Makes 100 Most Influential African Women

Angola’s Josefa Sacko is among those named in Avance Media’s inaugural list of 100 most influential African women in 2019.

Sacko serves as the Commissioner for Rural and Agricultural Economy of the African Union (AU). She was also recently named as one of the 100 most influential people in climate politics globally by Apolitical.

Prior to her current position Sacko was an ambassador for Goodwill on Climate Changes and served as Secretary-General of the Inter-African Coffee Organization (IACO) for 13 years in Côte d'Ivoire.
